INDOPOSCO.ID – Flooding in several areas of Jakarta continued to inundate as many as 90 neighborhood units (RT) and nine road sections as of Saturday morning (Jan 24, 2026).
“As of Saturday morning, 90 RT remain flooded,” said Head of the Disaster Data and Information Center of the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Mohamad Yohan, in Jakarta.
Yohan said floodwaters in Cawang Sub-district, East Jakarta, have reached a height of up to 2.5 meters, caused by the overflow of the Ciliwung River.
He added that the overall distribution of flooding has begun to decline, with inundation in a number of locations receding on Friday night.
Flooding in Jakarta had previously affected 143 RT on Friday (Jan 23), marking the highest number recorded since the flooding began on Thursday (Jan 22), as reported by Antara.
