INDOPOSCO.ID – Indonesian National Police Chief (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has carried out a rotation and promotion of senior (Pati) and middle-ranking (Pamen) officers in the third week of January 2026.
In this reshuffle, Inspector General (Irjen) Sandi Nugroho has been reassigned from his previous role as Head of the Police Public Relations Division (Kadiv Humas Polri).
The decision was formalized in Telegram Letter No. ST/99/I/KEP./2026 dated January 15, 2026, regarding the termination and appointment of positions within the police force.
The letter was signed by the Kapolri’s Assistant for Human Resources, Irjen Anwar.
“Irjen Pol. Sandi Nugroho NRP 73070562, previously Kadiv Humas Polri, has been appointed to a new position as Chief of South Sumatra Police,” the telegram reads, viewed in Jakarta on Saturday (Jan 24, 2026).
Sandi will replace South Sumatra Police Chief Irjen Andi Rian Djajadi, who has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Police Education and Training Institute (Lemdiklat Polri).
Meanwhile, the position of Kadiv Humas Polri will be filled by Irjen Johnny Eddizon Izir, formerly Chief of West Papua Police.
Brigadier General Alfred Papare, previously Chief of Central Papua Police, will take over as Chief of West Papua Police.
A total of 53 Pati and Pamen officers have been rotated, requiring them to take on new assignments.
“These Pati and Pamen officers are required to assume their new duties no later than 14 days after the reshuffle decision is issued,” the telegram stated. (dan)
