INDOPOSCO.ID – Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a warning that most parts of the country are expected to experience rainfall on Sunday (Nov. 30, 2025).
In its weather forecast released from Jakarta, BMKG forecaster Ina Indah Hapsari reported that several areas in Sumatra—such as Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Tanjung Pinang, Pangkal Pinang, and Palembang—are likely to see light rain.
“Meanwhile, Banda Aceh is forecast to be partly cloudy, while Medan, Pekanbaru, and Bandar Lampung are expected to see thick cloud cover,” she said.
Across Java, light rain is projected in Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, and Semarang. Yogyakarta is expected to be mostly cloudy, and Surabaya may experience hazy conditions.
In Kalimantan, light rain is also forecast for Pontianak, Tanjung Selor, Palangkaraya, and Samarinda, while Banjarmasin may see thunderstorms.
“Denpasar is likely to be heavily overcast, Mataram may experience light rain, and Kupang is forecast to see thunderstorms,” Ina added.
In Sulawesi, light rain is expected in Makassar, Mamuju, Gorontalo, Manado, and Kendari, while Palu may encounter hazy weather.
Elsewhere, light rain is forecast in Ternate, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, and Jayapura. Jayawijaya, Merauke, and Nabire, however, may see moderate rainfall.
