INDOPOSCO.ID — The Indonesia-Thai Chamber of Commerce (INTCC), in collaboration with the Executive Global Network Thailand (EGN Thailand), the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangkok (KBRI Bangkok), and the Thailand E-Commerce Association (THECA), successfully held a High-Level Dialogue forum titled “Strengthening Bilateral Business Cooperation in a Changing Regional Landscape” on March 25, 2026.
The event, held in Bangkok, Thailand, was officially opened by Angela Soewono, Coordinator of the Economic Affairs Function at KBRI Bangkok.
The forum was attended by dozens of business leaders from across Southeast Asia, reflecting strong regional interest in enhancing economic cooperation.
In her opening remarks, Angela highlighted Indonesia’s key achievements and the government’s readiness to facilitate investment and trade at both global and regional levels.
She emphasized Indonesia’s ongoing efforts to create a conducive business climate for investors.
The dialogue continued with a panel discussion featuring four experienced speakers from their respective fields.
Ms. Kultirath Pakawachkrilers, Chairperson of THECA, stressed that developments across all aspects of life are increasingly inseparable from the digital sphere.
She noted that Thailand’s digital economy continues to show a positive trend, marked by the growing number of online media platforms and professional influencers, estimated to account for around 15 percent of the population.
Echoing this view, Hendrawan Ardiyatman, Country Director of Devoteam Indonesia, stated that the digital economy has the potential to become the backbone of Indonesia’s economic growth.
He added that the rapid expansion of business applications has made collaboration among individuals and enterprises significantly easier.
Meanwhile, Hadi Hendrawan, Chief Analyst at NATARAJA, highlighted that technological transformation, particularly advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI), has brought significant changes to the business and industrial landscape.
On the other hand, Donny M. Yogantoro, Secretary General of INTCC, underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration among Southeast Asian countries in addressing economic challenges shaped by evolving global geopolitical dynamics.
He also pointed to energy demand as a critical factor in supporting digital economic growth.
“The rapid adoption of AI technology is driving increased demand for data centers, which in turn has a direct impact on rising energy consumption,” he said.
Through this forum, stakeholders are expected to strengthen synergy and unlock new opportunities for collaboration in navigating the increasingly dynamic regional economic landscape. (aro)
