INDOPOSCO.ID – The Jakarta Provincial Government has rescheduled the inauguration of the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading–Manggarai route, which had previously been scheduled for Wednesday (Aug. 26, 2026).
The rescheduling follows a final evaluation of the overall preparations for the event, with consideration given to further service improvements aimed at ensuring greater inclusivity. The new inauguration date will be announced once the schedule has been finalized.
Head of the Jakarta Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik), Marulina Dewi, said the change only concerns the timing of the inauguration and does not affect the Jakarta LRT development agenda.
The Jakarta Provincial Government, together with PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), will continue to carry out the planned stages of development for the Kelapa Gading–Manggarai corridor.
“Following a final evaluation of the overall preparations for the event, the Jakarta Provincial Government has decided to reschedule the inauguration of the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading–Manggarai. We want the inauguration to take place after several details of the facilities have been further improved,” Marulina said in Jakarta on Wednesday (Aug. 26).
The Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading–Manggarai line stretches 12.2 kilometers and has 11 stations: Kelapa Gading, Boulevard Utara, Boulevard Selatan, Pulomas, Equestrian, Velodrome, Rawamangun, Pramuka, Matraman, Proklamasi, and Manggarai.
