INDOPOSCO.ID – Police have detained four men suspected of involvement in the deaths of two individuals in Bekasi City, West Java. The arrests were made after the bodies of the two victims were discovered in a drainage canal on Mustikajaya Road, Cimuning.
Bekasi Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKBP Andi M. Iqbal, confirmed the arrests but did not provide further details regarding the sequence of events or the specific roles of the individuals detained.
“Four suspects have been secured,” Andi said when contacted by reporters on Saturday (June 20, 2026).
Police are continuing to question the suspects as part of the investigation into the cause of the victims’ deaths.
“We are still investigating the motive, including whether this was related to a robbery or another crime,” Andi said.
The alleged murder case drew public attention after a video showing the discovery of the two bodies on Mustikajaya Road in Cimuning, Bekasi City, circulated widely on social media. The footage was reportedly recorded by a passing motorcyclist.
According to reports, the motorcyclist stopped and approached the scene after noticing two male bodies lying in the drainage canal.(dan)
