INDOPOSCO.ID – The Indonesian government under President Prabowo Subianto has secured a total of Rp31.3 trillion in recovered state funds over the past 1.5 years, officials announced during a ceremony at the Attorney General’s Office on Friday (April 10, 2026).
The figure was highlighted during the handover of Rp11.1 trillion in administrative forestry fines by the Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH).
Authorities noted that the total recovery stems from multiple cases, including a corruption case involving crude palm oil (CPO) export facilities worth Rp13.255 trillion in October 2025, followed by an additional Rp6.625 trillion recovered two months later.
“As of April 10, we have successfully recovered Rp11.420 trillion. This brings the total cash recovered to Rp31.3 trillion,” Prabowo said in Jakarta.
He emphasized the significant impact of the recovered funds, noting that the amount could finance the renovation of up to 34,000 schools across Indonesia—doubling previous government efforts that restored 17,000 schools.
“This means the funds could effectively double the education budget for schools that have gone without repairs for years,” he said.
Prabowo added that the recovered funds could also be allocated to housing programs for low-income communities.
“This could help renovate more than 500,000 homes, benefiting around 2 million low-income citizens. Imagine if we had not recovered these funds,” he stated.
The president also praised the Forest Area Control Task Force for its role in safeguarding state finances and assets.
“Without the strong performance of Satgas PKH, this money would have been lost and could not have been utilized for the benefit of the people,” he added. (dan)
