INDOPOSCO.ID – PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) reported that 44,918 vehicles departed Jakarta via the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover during H-3 of the Lunar New Year holiday.
GM of Operations and Maintenance at PT JJC, Desti Anggraeni, stated that this volume represents a 46.77 percent increase compared to normal traffic conditions, which typically see 30,604 vehicles.
“The traffic increase occurred throughout the day, with the highest surge in the evening reaching 52.76 percent,” Desti said in Bekasi, West Java, on Sunday (Feb. 15, 2026).
She also noted that traffic from the east heading into Jakarta via the MBZ Flyover during the same period reached 31,655 vehicles, up 12.96 percent from the usual 28,022 vehicles.
According to Desti, the rise in traffic H-3 indicates a growing travel activity among the public ahead of the holiday.
Overall, traffic conditions on the MBZ Flyover remained smooth and controlled, supported by regular monitoring and the readiness of operational personnel on the ground.
PT JJC continues to urge road users on the MBZ Flyover to prioritize safety to ensure smooth and secure journeys. Drivers are advised to ensure both their vehicles and personal readiness are optimal, maintain sufficient fuel and battery levels, and anticipate potential weather changes, especially during rain.
“Stay alert to ensure a safe and comfortable trip to your destination. Exercise caution while driving in rainy conditions as it can reduce visibility and affect road surfaces,” she said, as reported by Antara.
