INDOPOSCO.ID – Indonesian mixed doubles pair Adnan Maulana and Indah Cahya Sari Jamil claimed the Thailand Masters 2026 title after defeating fellow Indonesians Bobby Setiabudi and Melati Daeva Oktavianti in the final.
According to the BWF website, the final took place at Nimibutr Stadium, Pathumwan, Thailand, on Sunday (Feb 1, 2026). World No. 21 Adnan/Indah overcame world No. 41 Bobby/Melati in 1 hour and 2 minutes, with a score of 18-21, 21-19, 21-17.
In the first game, Adnan/Indah struggled to keep pace with Bobby/Melati. Although they led 7-6 early on, they went into the interval trailing 10-11 and frequently lost points thereafter, allowing Bobby/Melati to close the game 21-18.
The second game started slowly for Adnan/Indah. After again trailing 10-11 at the interval, the pair—who debuted as runners-up at the 2024 BNI Indonesia International Challenge in Pekanbaru—began to show their true quality. Bobby/Melati extended their lead to 13-10, but Adnan/Indah fought back to tie at 13-13.
The game remained tight, with both pairs evenly matched until Adnan/Indah gained their first lead at 17-16. After briefly drawing level at 18-18, they maintained focus to secure the game 21-19.
The decisive third game saw Adnan/Indah find their rhythm. They led 11-8 at the interval, extended their advantage to 14-9, and then to 19-12.
Bobby/Melati staged a comeback, scoring five consecutive points to narrow the gap to 17-19, but Adnan/Indah sealed the victory with two final points, clinching the Thailand Masters 2026 title.
This marked the second time Adnan/Indah defeated another Indonesian pair at the Thailand Masters 2026, having earlier eliminated Hee Yong Kai Terry and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja 21-17, 21-19 in the round of 16, according to Antara.
The Thailand Masters 2026 crown is the pair’s second career title, following their victory at the 2024 Vietnam Open, where they also defeated fellow Indonesians Zaidan Arrafi Awal Nabawi and Jessica Maya Rismawardani in the final. (aro)
