INDOPOSCO.ID – Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika) forecasts light rain across much of the country on Monday (March 2, 2026).
According to the agency’s official website, light rain is expected in several major cities, including Jakarta, Denpasar, Jayapura, Mamuju, Manokwari, Mataram, Medan, and Merauke.
Similar conditions are forecast for Palangka Raya, Palembang, Pangkal Pinang, Samarinda, and Semarang.
Light showers are also predicted in Serang, Sorong, Surabaya, and Tanjung Pinang.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies are expected in Ambon, Banda Aceh, Bandung, Bengkulu, Jambi, Jayawijaya, Kendari, Makassar, Manado, Nabire, Padang, Palu, Pekanbaru, Sofifi, and Tanjung Selor.
The agency has urged residents to remain vigilant for thunderstorms, which are expected to affect Bandar Lampung and Gorontalo on Monday.
Partly cloudy conditions are forecast for Banjarbaru and Pontianak. Moderate rain is expected in Kupang and Yogyakarta. (aro)
